The CooperTown Cafe

About The CooperTown Cafe
Mississippi blues and good ole’ & rsquo; home cooking just seem to go together. They absolutely work out with each other at Coopertown Café, a dining establishment located in Hattiesburg, run by native Brookhaven brothers, Cameron and Doyce Cleckler. “& ldquo; We originate from a cooking household,” & rdquo; claimed proprietor, Cameron Cleckler. Their grandparents, Houston and Gladys Jordan, opened The 84 Dairy Twist in the 1960s. Not just are the food and songs southern, however the décor is, too. Each tabletop display screens a style, whether it be “& ldquo; Chosen the Wind” & rdquo; or & ldquo; Southern Miss. & rdquo; Camp Shelby is also stood for. “& ldquo; Every table top is an original that we made ourselves,” & rdquo; stated C. Cleckler. The café has an informal feeling. The proprietor explained the ambience as “& ldquo; very laid back & rdquo; – and & ldquo; informal eating & rdquo;-- the ideal ambience for the smooth, velvety blues. A quote in the colorful Coopertown Café food selection reviews, “& ldquo; Food done with love by individuals who like food.” & rdquo;
